Description

  • Create a table
  • Create a materialized view
  • Insert data into the table
  • Simulate a scenario in the cluster which can cause the materialize view refresh to time out such as a parallel gflag upgrade, cluster upgrade
  • Refresh the materialized view
cl_db=# refresh materialized view mv_p;
ERROR:  Timed out: Timed out waiting for Alter Table

Issue: Correct the error message to read "Timed out waiting for refresh of materialized view" instead of alter table.
