Description

Hi, I am seeing quite alow performance in resizing pictures, is it normal?

Resizing FullHD image to 2 sizes takes almost 7 seconds. Is this a normal behaviour? Thank you.

Research direction
Review the image resizing logic in the aws lambda image repository. Look at the main Lambda function code in index.js. Check the comments on issue #82 for any profiling insights. Profile the current implementation to identify bottlenecks, such as the image processing library used (likely sharp or gm). Consider if the latency is due to cold starts or actual processing time. Suggest optimizations like using smaller image formats or caching.
