Research direction

Start with app/assets/stylesheets/application.scss and reproduce the failure with rails assets:precompile. Investigate the ordering between Yarn and asset compilation using the reported Bootstrap import; done means the first precompile succeeds reliably without needing a retry.

Description

Hi guys,
We have a rails 7 in production that raising strange issue :

When we preform a

rails assets:precompile

this crash with this

SassC::SyntaxError: Error: File to import not found or unreadable: bootstrap/scss/bootstrap. (SassC::SyntaxError)
        on line 2:1 of app/assets/stylesheets/application.scss
>> @import 'bootstrap/scss/bootstrap';

Curious fact is when i retry to do a rails assets:precompile, it works well.
This seems that yarn is still running when rails tried to fetch bootstrap package.

I don't know if i am in the good place for this issue but hope someone could help me to understand this
