Description

The current EQ is based off of CyanogenMods EQ (which I believe is based off the native Android EQ). It's buggy, doesn't work for everyone, and doesn't sound that good on most devices.

Not sure if there's much that can be done here, within the bounds of the native EQ. Might have to consider 3rd party Audio Players (like Superpowered).

Research direction
The issue suggests the current equalizer is buggy and based on native Android EQ. The maintainer hinted at possibly using a third party audio player like Superpowered. Research the Superpowered SDK integration, evaluate if native EQ can be improved, and discuss with maintainer to clarify the desired approach. Look at existing equalizer implementation in the codebase.
