Description

Summary

As part of our 2025 Constitutional Roadmap #4014 and standing up both the Steering Committee and the Community Management Working Group (CM WG), we are planning a series of listening meetings with maintenance-level members through the existing working groups.

Community members not part of a Working Group will also have the opportunity to share their views at a listening session hosted as part of an upcoming collaboration cafe (details tbc), via comment on this issue, and via upcoming Community Forums.

These listening sessions will provide a space for candid feedback, proposals for new directions and opportunities, and a chance to raise any concerns or issues that might be addressed by either the Steering Committee or the Community Management Working Group as they begin their work.

We anticipate that these meetings will happen over the course of May & June, with a report out either at the Community forum on 17 June or the September Community Forum.

What needs to be done?

  • Speak to each Working Group to arrange a suitable time for a listening meeting (most likely during a usual Working Group meeting)
  • Identify date for listening sessions in Collaboration Cafe
  • Produce a draft listening meeting agenda/prompt questions
  • Attend listening meetings and take notes
  • Collate and discuss themes emerging results with the Community Management Working Group and Steering Committee
  • Present broad findings back to wider community at a community forum
  • Agree next steps and actions based on the results of the findings and document these steps
  • Report on progress as part of future updates

Who can help?

  • @the-turing-way/community-management-working-group
  • Working Group members
  • Everyone with views and perspectives to share
