Description

Currently only yellow color is applied for the mark(highlight) markdown element without possibility of choosing other background color(text color also seems to be a global Joplin setting, so no option exists to change it for a text selection only).

Is this a fundamental limitation of markdown format or libraries/implementations used in Joplin?

Can a toolbar button(with a drop-down or color chooser/hex color text input or template snippet pasting) for easier application of a span style with selected color be in theory implemented or already are there alternatives in Joplin plugins or Joplin itself?

Are there limitations and what is the best option in your opinion?
