Description

Tapping on "keyboard" in the left drawer, as suggested in #320 , doesn't help.

If I turn on the ChromeOS accessibility setting that gives a button to show the touch keyboard anytime, the button does work with termux. However, having that setting enabled also forces the touch keyboard to a layout where the keys are smaller than the default one (even during normal web browsing) so it is not ideal.

Research direction
Investigate the on screen keyboard handling in Termux app (Java). Check #320 for context. Determine why keyboard fails to appear in ChromeOS tablet mode. Look at Android InputMethodManager and window flags. Test on a Chromebook Flip if possible.
