Research direction

Start by reviewing the current approach for supporting functions in different languages, then compare the proposed Go, Rust, and JavaScript runtime options. Define the WebAssembly function interface and runtime scope before implementation; done means a standardized interface and a supported runtime are clearly specified and integrated.

Description

platform/serverless

Motivation

Current the approach to support different language functions is not a scalable approach. We should be looking into using WebAssembly to standardize the function interfaces and implement one runtime (either using Go, Rust, and Javascript).
