Version Info

  • Caprine Version 2.54.1 (2.54.1)
  • macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 (20G95)

Note: I tried both with and without hardware acceleration (and with multiple app restarts).

Expected Behavior

Caprine will show vibrancy/translucency as shown in the README when vibrancy is enabled:

Actual Behavior

Caprine looks the same with and without vibrancy enabled. (i.e. the application does not have any translucency, but it does have wallpaper tinting.)

Research direction
Investigate the vibrancy implementation in the Electron main process. Look for the `setVibrancy` or similar API usage in the main process file (likely `main.ts` or `index.ts`). Check if there are recent changes to the window creation code that might have broken vibrancy. Also compare the current code with the working screenshot to identify differences in window configuration.
