sh script not running

Start with build_and_run.sh and inspect the OpenSSL certificate-generation commands run by ./build_and_run.sh; reproduce the failure in the environment shown by the log, including the Git path in the OpenSSL error. Done means the script completes without CSR or file-read errors and generates the expected certificate files.
