TestX509StoreContext::test_verify_with_time FAILED

Start with tests/test_crypto.py around line 3639 and reproduce the failure using OpenSSL 1.0.2l, comparing the reported verification behavior with the test expectation. Done means determining the cause and establishing a clear, passing test outcome for the verification-time case.

Whenever I try to build pyopenssl-17.2.0 on my gentoo system I get the following test failure:
