Description

Actual behavior

It is not possible to sort the configs for the broker, which complicates the search for the required config.

Expected behavior Sorting should be possible by the Key and Value. Which is especially helpful on the troubleshooting. Sorting by the Source of the config can also come handy.

  1. Login to Kafka UI
  2. Navigate to Borkers
  3. Select broker and switch to Configs tab.

Examine the broker config component in the frontend codebase (likely in a React based UI). Determine how config data is fetched from the backend and rendered in a table. Implement sorting functionality for the 'Key' and 'Value' columns, possibly using a JavaScript sorting function or a table library like react table. Ensure toggle between ascending and descending order. Test the changes with sample data and verify no regressions.
