Description

ES6 and / or TypeScript mostly makes CoffeeScript no longer necessary. Let's try running codebase through decaffeinate.

Explore the decaffeinate tool (https://github.com/decaffeinate/decaffeinate) and run it on the entire codebase. Validate that the output compiles and works correctly.
