Research direction

Start by locating the node preview ghost-node and drop-list UI described in the issue, then trace how a node is created from that interaction. Done means clicking the preview creates the expected node, including when the drop-down is empty or the typed node name is a typo.

Description

Hi There,

Can we please make the preview "ghost node" clickable:

Image

I've found myself clicking on the "ClientCode" outline above the drop list expecting the node to be created .... it isn't 😦

It's too enticing to click on it especially in this case where I've got a typo and empty drop down but a preview of the node that I want is there.
