Research direction
The issue does not name a file, test, or dispatcher entry point. Start by locating the dispatcher implementation and its existing synchronization behavior, then clarify the suspend/resume API and cross-thread semantics before identifying tests that can demonstrate suspension and resumption.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
Add the ability to suspend and resume execution from another thread by setting state (or taking a token or something) on a dispatcher, without having to interact directly with mutexes or locks.
