Research direction

Reproduce the issue with the linked VP9A .webm and VP6A .flv samples, testing both MediaPlayerElement playback and the Win2D canvas via frameserver. Compare the rendered output with the source videos; the work is done when their alpha channels display correctly in the relevant playback paths.

Description

I tried this out with some videos that have transparent backgrounds. A .webm vp9a, and a .flv vp6a. Both videos play but the alpha channel is ignored. I tried playing to a MediaPlayerElement and I also tried playing it to a Win2d canvas via frameserver. Really not sure why the latter wouldn't work. This article has a link to one of the sample videos I used. https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2013/07/Alpha-transparency-in-Chrome-video
