Research direction

Start at the CopyRectangle implementation and its existing unsupported path for BC compressed images. Inspect how 4x4 compression blocks are addressed, then verify that rectangle copying rounds coordinates to block boundaries and operates without decompressing the image data.

Description

bc enhancement

Currently CopyRectangle reports "unsupported" for BC compressed images. It can, however, be made to operate on a per-block basis rounding to the nearest 4x4 pixel coordinate.

This is a useful operation when creating tiled textures without having to decompress the data first.
