Research direction

Start by locating the PPM/PFM functionality currently included with the texconv tool and inspect how its I/O is referenced. Move the functions into the Auxiliary folder while preserving their existing behavior and ensuring texconv still builds and uses them from the new location.

Description

proposal tools

The PPM/PFM functionality is currently part of the texconv tool. I don't believe it's an important format to support as part of the mainline library, but it could be moved to the Auxiliary folder instead of being side-by-side with texconv
