Description

Summary:

It would be nice if comments were editable. Right now, once I sent a comment, I can only change it by deleting it and creating a new one.

How important this is to me and why:

Importance: Low

Low importance because deleting and recreating provides the needed functionality in most cases, only with less convenience.

Use cases:

  1. I notice a typo in a comment that I just sent
  2. I forgot to add something into a comment that I just sent
  3. Another comment was added after the one I want to edit. Deleting and recreating/updating my comment will now change the order of comments.

Research direction
Implement an edit button for comments that toggles the comment text into an editable text area. Consider using local state to track edit mode, and save changes by updating the comment data. Ensure the UI updates without page reload.
