Summary:

It would be nice if comments were editable. Right now, once I sent a comment, I can only change it by deleting it and creating a new one.

How important this is to me and why:

Importance: Low

Low importance because deleting and recreating provides the needed functionality in most cases, only with less convenience.

Use cases:

  1. I notice a typo in a comment that I just sent
  2. I forgot to add something into a comment that I just sent
  3. Another comment was added after the one I want to edit. Deleting and recreating/updating my comment will now change the order of comments.

Start by locating the comment component in the frontend codebase, likely under webapp/src/components. Study the existing comment rendering and input components. Then implement an edit state toggle and save functionality to update the comment via the API. Ensure to handle optimistic updates and error states.
