Research direction

Start by locating xed’s Save As dialog and its Create Folder button in the source, then inspect how dialog shortcuts are handled. Done means Control+Shift+N activates the existing folder-creation action in that dialog and the behavior is verified against the expected folder-creation flow.

Description

Linux Mint: 22.1
xed: 3.8.2 (Preinstalled with Mint)

Current Behaviour

1.) Navigate to your home directory using the standard Mint GUI (Files)
2.) Press Control+Shift+N
3.) Notice a new folder is created
4.) Open up xed
5.) Add some text, and go File -> Save
6.) In the "Save As..." dialog screen, attempt to create a new folder with Control+Shift+N - The same shortcut key
7.) Realise that a new folder is not created

Expected Behaviour

The new folder shortcut is present in the Save As dialog.

Whilst it would be ideal that a new folder is created in the same form as in Files (A new folder appearing, with the Rename functionality in progress) to maintain a consistent user experience, simply having the "Create Folder" button actionable with the same shortcut by default would be sufficient.
