System Administration Inconsistancies

Start by reproducing the GRUB timeout behavior through System Administration after adding loglevel=2, then inspect how the menu visibility switch and delay setting are applied. Done means the menu remains hidden when its switch is off, regardless of the delay or added kernel parameter, and the behavior is verified on the reported configuration.

I am currently running LM 22.3 (only OS) and made a change to Grub using System Administration. I just added "loglevel=2" and hit save. I made no other changes. Upon the next reboot, I got the grub menu with no timeout. It seems that by adding the loglevel comment, that activated the grub time out. Once I changed the timeout to zero, the grub menu didn't show. It's just odd as the option to show the menu is not "on" but the timer started being active. I could understand this if I had multiple OS and got the grub menu on ever startup, but not just by adding the loglevel comment. I would think that if the "switch" to show Menu is off, then when booting up, I should not see the grub menu no matter what the time is for "Delay before booting." And this has happened on all 3 of my laptops running LM. The other 2 are a Dell Inspiron 5502 and an HP Pavilion 16.
