Description

Support for windows systems would be greatly appreciated.

For those of us unfortunate enough to sysadmin Windows boxes, not having access over SSH to "tail" things can be rather annoying. rTail could really fill a niche here. Being able to point it to plain text logs from services and applications on Windows systems (It is probably out of scope to include Windows Event Log) and allow others to watch these logs in a browser would be ground breaking!

Research direction
The issue is a feature request from 2015 with no follow up. To contribute, a candidate would need to examine the rtail codebase (likely on GitHub) to understand its current architecture, which relies on UNIX pipes and apparently Node.js. They would need to research how to implement cross platform support, possibly using Node.js's 'os' module and Windows equivalents of tail commands. There are no existing PRs or comments to build upon.
