Description

Can't one create a matrix of custom elements, e.g. objects, like {type:'something'}? I noticed that only numbers are supported

Review the existing TypeScript definitions for the Matrix class in mathjs. Investigate how the type system currently restricts matrix elements to numbers and identify where generic type parameters could be introduced to support arbitrary types like objects. Look at the source files for Matrix and related types (e.g., src/types/matrix/Matrix.d.ts). Consider adding a generic parameter to the Matrix interface and updating related function signatures to propagate the element type.
