I have a template like:

PMID- {{pmid}}
OWN - {{own}}
{# STAT- In-Process #}

The line with the comment {# STAT- In-Process #} gets rendered as a newline. Can I prevent this while still keeping it at its own line?

Look for any existing tests in `test/selmer/parser test.clj` that cover comment behavior. Consider if the current implementation always renders a newline for comment lines, and whether a configuration option could suppress that. Comment on the issue to confirm expected behavior.
