Change of home feed for already visited users

in the feed, have a button for asking the user do you like this category or not, if he clicks the make category favorite, store it using cookies in browser, and display more frequently from this category. initially you can show in side bar some hand picked general categores picked by you, if they favorite some, store them too in their cookies and show from them more frequently, it will increase the likablility of the website, as i am spending time in learning more about a known topic rather than staring at a complete unknown topic.
