It might be useful to run mypy against several pip and Python versions (like min + max). Just the last one isn't going to cover a lot of stuff..

The issue asks to modify the CI workflow (likely .github/workflows/ci.yml or similar) to run mypy against a matrix of pip and Python versions (minimum and maximum supported). Look at the current mypy configuration in pyproject.toml or setup.cfg. The relevant discussion is in issue #1927. No linked PRs. Maintainer @webknjaz suggested this. The goal is to ensure mypy runs on the oldest and newest supported versions.
