Description

This issue tracks the relevant steps needed to add Orbit to dist.ipfs.io, specifically referring to code which needs to happen on this branch. See https://github.com/haadcode/orbit/issues/132 for an overarching issue about how to make this happen.

Current steps needed AFAIK:

  • Create build-js.sh
  • Edit makefile for Orbit to be able to build this specifically
  • Figure out which versions (npm releases?)
  • Merge PR
  • Check

Contributor guide

Research direction
Study existing build scripts in the repository (e.g., for other distributions like go ipfs) to understand the build process. Then create a build js.sh script for Orbit following the same pattern, and update the Makefile to add the new target.
