Expand CLI to support all 15 plot types. Currently supports 4 (line, scatter, bar, histogram).

Plot Types to Add

  • StackedBar - Cumulative bar charts
  • Box - Statistical box plots
  • Violin - Distribution density
  • QQ - Quantile-quantile plots
  • PP - Probability-probability plots
  • Heatmap - 2D density visualization
  • Bubble - 3-variable visualization
  • Area - Filled area charts
  • StackedArea - Cumulative area
  • Treemap - Hierarchical data
  • Timeline - Chronological events

Tasks

  • Implement each plot type in CLI
  • Add appropriate CLI arguments for each
  • Update documentation
  • Add tests for each type

Acceptance Criteria

  • All 15 plot types available via CLI
  • Documentation updated for each
  • Tests cover all plot types

Contributor guide

Research direction
Study the existing 4 plot type implementations (line, scatter, bar, histogram) in the CLI module. Each new plot type (e.g., StackedBar) should follow the same pattern. Focus on adding a new variant to the plot type enum, implementing the CLI argument parsing for each, and writing corresponding tests.
