Research direction
Investigate how signature help items are rendered in nvim cmp's documentation popup. Look at the highlight group definitions used for signature help and compare with the expected colors shown in the second screenshot. Check the issue comments for any hints or clarifications. Consider modifying the rendering code in the relevant source file to properly apply markdown highlighting to the signature help text.
