Description

Currently the distance column assumes parsecs, but we should add support for different units, e.g. au, pc, kpc, ly, and so on.

Research direction
Check the current distance column implementation in the glue openspace plugin, look for any existing unit handling (e.g., astropy units), and add a dropdown or input field to select from parsecs, au, pc, kpc, ly, etc. Update the conversion logic accordingly.
