Description

E.g. a DateTime field could be automatically turned into a Moment.js object.

Is this possible already and I just missed it in the docs?

Research direction
Review the discussion in issue #91 to understand the desired behavior and any prior attempts. Examine Relay's client side data hydration code, likely in relay runtime packages such as RelayRecordSource.js or RelayModernRecord.js. Determine if custom scalar hydration is currently supported, and if not, propose a mechanism for registering scalar type handlers. Consider using a configurable approach similar to how custom scalars are handled in GraphQL server libraries.
