Description

We should add a test for any fix for 1090472, demonstrating that retargeted error symbols cause the dependent compilation to produce an error rather than compiling without error.

One approach to testing it, if it is hard to find a repro otherwise, is to add a compiler flag that forces an error symbol that requires retargeting.
