With https://github.com/palantir/palantir-java-format/pull/1211 (shipped in palantir-java-formatter 2.57.0) the formatter can be executed as native Graal image. Such an option is provided through the gradle property palantir.native.formatter=true however that should also be supported for Maven. That way one can run Maven with spotless with an older version than the Palantir Formatter.
