Punctuation could be improved in this section. For example, commas are missing from a number of places, e.g. the sentence: Now that we have connected here are a few commands that tell you a little about the machine you have connected to: is missing a comma after 'connected'.
A code block showing how to use apt install appears to be missing after the sentence: Once you know the package name, you could install it using apt install:.
