Research direction

Read the announcement and the linked direct-engine documentation first, then review related issue #6351. The issue describes Terraform engine deprecation and migration behavior but does not identify a documentation change or other contribution, so no completion criteria are provided.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Starting with v1.19.0, DABs will no longer have terraform-based deployment engine.

Any existing terraform-backed bundles will be automatically migrated to direct engine before the deployment.

Setting engine: terraform in the config (or DATABRICKS_BUNDLE_ENGINE=terraform env) will block automatic migration & deployment. Such bundles cannot deployed on CLI v1.19.0 or later, please pin 1.18.x if you want to continue using terraform engine.
