Terminal > Run Bild Task is not working

Reproduce the issue in VS Code web with tasks defined in .vscode/tasks.json, starting from Terminal > Run Task or Run Build Task. Trace why the task picker does not appear and compare the reported missing assets in the logs; done means the task names appear in a dropdown without browser-console errors.

Is there an existing issue for this?

Steps to Reproduce

1. when click on Terminal > Run Task or Run Build Task
2. no top drop menu show to select the tasks created on /.vscode/tasks.json
3. no errors thrown on the browser dev tools console.
4. logs shows messing files:

   File not found: /home/cs/lib/vscode/node_modules/vsda/rust/web/vsda_bg.wasm
   File not found: /home/cs/lib/vscode/node_modules/@xterm/addon-ligatures/lib/addon-ligatures.js

Expected

show drop down menu with names of tasks listed on /.vscode/tasks.json

Actual

no response and doesn't show drop down menu with names of tasks listed on /.vscode/tasks.json and now error thrown on browser dev tools console.
