Description

I'm not sure how it is on other devices, but the load time is so slow on my Nexus (Android). In my emulator it goes fast, but probably due to being on a computer...

If I click menu link 'events' it waits like 4 seconds then it goes to the events page with the Calendar.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Research direction
Reproduce the slow load on a physical Android device (Nexus as mentioned). Profile using React DevTools or Android Systrace to identify bottlenecks. Check for heavy rendering in the calendar component, especially on initial mount. Note that the repository is deprecated, so alternative solutions may involve migrating to newer libraries.
