Research direction

Start at the web preview entry point and reproduce a workflow that requires a logged-in user on macOS with Polyscope 0.17.0. Trace what happens when the preview reaches the login page; done means the developer is prompted to authenticate or the access requirement is handled without stopping.

Bug description

When Polyscope tries to test a workflow or feature where a logged in user is required, it goes to the login page and fails/stops . It should just ask the developer to log in if it needs access or try otherwise.
