Unable to open credentials / config file

Start with the s3 example and the BUILD_SHARED_LIBS setting, then compare the custom library and header build with the Lambda deployment and the logged credentials/config loading path. Done means a reproducible diagnosis and confirmed fix for the segmentation fault, with the relevant build and runtime details documented.

To Whom this may concern:

I am extremely new to C++. I am able to get the s3 example up and running.
I am able to compile and zip everything as long as I have "BUILD_SHARED_LIBS" set to "OFF".

The issue arises when I add a custom library and header file, I keep getting the following error.
I am not sure if I am including the header file incorrectly, building the library (.so) file incorrectly or what is happening.

Any pointers would be huge.
