Research direction

Start by reading conversation #4408 and comparing the existing None options in the Audio, Swap, and NTP menus. Then inspect the Greeter, Graphics driver, Network configuration, and Bootloader menus; done means each offers a user-facing None choice with behavior consistent with those existing sections.

Description

describe the request

Continuation of conversation #4408

The idea is that some menus might benefit from a user facing None option: Instead of implicit skip (not opening a menu) or having to clear a field (CTRL + C): User can simply pick None when desired.

Menus that would need this option:

  • Greeter
  • Graphics driver
  • Network configuration
  • Bootloader

Other sections such as Audio, Swap, NTP already allow for this.
