Description

Every issues talking about rowspan have been closed so far, and still not a single suitable solution.

#1464 (closed roughly with a COLSPAN solution, but no ROWSPAN) #194 (closed for dup) #845 (closed for dup) #259 (closed for dup)

All of these issues have been awarded +1s and comments. I think this could be part of the API, some people seems to have a real need for this. Including me.

My personnal use-case is to show 2 different results on the same row (a quantity, and a price)

EDIT: Also, there is an unresolved S.O question

Research direction
This issue requests rowspan functionality in ui grid. Previous issues (#1464, #194, #845, #259) were closed without a solution, but they may contain relevant discussion. The referenced StackOverflow question (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37537831/angular js ui grid row merging) might provide insight. Investigate the existing colspan implementation in the grid's source code (likely in grid rendering logic) and consider how to extend it for rowspan. No maintainer guidance is provided.
