Description

Goal

Now that the multi-platform adapter architecture has been introduced and Dhan support is fully functional, we should implement full integrations for Binance and TopstepX embedded charts.

Current Status

  • Skeletons are already scaffolded inside src/platforms/BinancePlatform.ts and src/platforms/TopstepXPlatform.ts as stubs.
  • They are currently disabled in src/main.ts's detectPlatform() and matches are excluded from browser manifests to avoid injecting inactive content scripts.

Steps to Complete Integrations

  1. Selector Auditing: Inspect the DOM structure of TradingView charts embedded on Binance (binance.com/en/trade/*) and TopstepX (topstepx.com) inside their respective iframe contexts.
  2. Implement PlatformAdapter Methods:
    • getCurrentTimeframe() / getTimeframeContainer()
    • getLineColorButton() / isColorMenuOpen() / getColorSwatches()
    • isClickOnDrawingToolbar() / isFloatingToolbarNode()
  3. Activation:
    • Uncomment detection rules inside detectPlatform() in src/main.ts.
    • Add target origin patterns to the content_scripts.matches array in browser manifests (platform/*/manifest.json).

Contributor guide

Research direction
Study the existing Dhan platform adapter implementation and the PlatformAdapter interface. Inspect the DOM structure of TradingView charts embedded on Binance and TopstepX to identify the selectors needed for each method. Implement the required PlatformAdapter methods and enable the adapters in detectPlatform() and browser manifests.
