Research direction
No files or tests are identified in the issue. Start by reviewing the repository's GitHub release setup and the proposed Zenodo synchronization workflow; the work is done when releases and data freezes are automatically available through Zenodo while cutting-edge versions remain on GitHub.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
Consider setting up a Zenodo sync for periodic releases / data freezes. This will provide software package using these data to use either the stable release from Zenodo or "cutting edge" found on GitHub. Once set up, syncing occurs automatically with every GitHub release.
