Description

Tracking/discussion issue for Russian localization

open tasks:

  • add a font-face rule to https://github.com/Pomax/BezierInfo-2/blob/master/src/html/fragments/fonts.html to ensure that Russian uses a nice looking font, with roughly the same text metrics as everything else. (might be a copy-paste of the Ukranian font rules)
  • figure out which TeX-available fonts can be used to ensure that LaTeX formulae convert to graphics with actual text, because this is clearly not an option:image
  • the rest of the content =D

Research direction
Start by examining the fonts.html file at src/html/fragments/fonts.html to see how other localizations (e.g., Ukrainian) handle font face rules. Then, add a similar rule for Russian, possibly copying the Ukrainian setup. For LaTeX formula issues, investigate TeX available fonts that support Cyrillic characters. The issue also requires translating content from English to Russian; focus on one HTML file at a time, comparing with existing translations if any.
