Many other simplenote clients just treat the first line of the note as the title and do not break it out, and many users do not make titles, they just start typing with their note. Right now on Aleph, if the note was made on another client (such as the official one), the first line gets pulled into the title. Often times this is just the first bullet on a list or something. So it ends up splitting the first line of the note away from the rest.
I think Aleph's design is good because it encourages users to make a title for everything, however it looks very weird for all the old notes.

Can you please consider the following as settings option for one of your upcoming releases?:

  1. Making an option to merge note titlebar with note content and have first line of note content be title
    or
  2. Making an option where if user does not populate title bar, then do not populate title bar, delete blank line on the top of note file that would have been populated by titlebar content so it syncs properly, and have preview bar show first line of note content as title.

Whichever is easier. This would be a huge boost in functionality.
