Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.76.2
  • OS Version: Windows 10

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Clone the following sample: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-extension-samples/blob/main/webview-sample
  2. Run the extension and open the WebView
  3. Click on any tree view item (like in the explorer)
  4. Right click inside the WebView and watch as the tree view item is focused

This is especially annoying if you have a some form of input so you cannot do Right-Click -> Copy/Cut/Paste, see video:
