Description

Describe the bug Upon searching for web results, the Google Assistant states results have been found however none are shown.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Activate assistant
  2. Search for web results (Ex: "Search for GitHub", "Show me pictures of frogs", "Give me web results for Electron")
  3. Google Assistant states results were found
  4. No results are shown

Expected behavior I expect to see a list of websites (including the name, link, and a description) and occasionally embeds containing relevant information or images.

  • Version 1.0.0-rc.2

Additional context I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or a missing feature, sorry. On one hand, I haven't seen anyone else complaining about this, but on the other hand, I haven't seen it stated that this feature isn't currently available anywhere.

Research direction
Investigate whether the Google Assistant SDK returns web results and how the client processes the response. Check the rendering logic in the main UI component, possibly in 'src/main.js' or similar. Review the API response structure to see if web results are present but not displayed. Look at the issue comments for any hints from the maintainer. If the SDK does not provide web results, this may be a missing feature rather than a bug.
