Description

There are known issues with auto-sizing / auto-layout / estimated size cells in IGListKit.

A number of issues have been opened: #487, #508, #266, #463, #452, #588, #739, #864, #906

We'll track and discuss all auto-sizing bugs/problems in this task to consolidate the discussion.

Research direction
This is a master issue tracking multiple auto sizing bugs and feature requests in IGListKit. Start by reading the linked issues (#487, #508, etc.) to understand the various problems and desired behaviors. Investigate how IGListKit currently handles cell sizing and estimated sizes (look at IGListCollectionViewLayout and IGListSectionController classes). Review any existing PRs or comments for attempted solutions. The goal is to implement reliable auto sizing for cells and supplementary views, likely requiring deep understanding of UICollectionView's self sizing mechanism and Auto Layout.
