Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First clarify whether the requested work is an organization or crates.io ownership change, a fork and rename, updating compatibility with rust-elements, or adding Simplicity support; completion cannot be defined until that scope is decided.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

...and can I be a crates.io owner?

If not, I will probably just fork and rename this -- it's a pretty useful tool for hacking on Elements transactions and I'd like to bring it up to date with rust-elements and add some Simplicity support.
