Keep error in ConvertErrorRecorder

Description
- Change ConvertErrorRecorder to keep a
Stringinstead of abooleanso the last error can be retrieved from it. - If MapperImpl cannot map to a certain type, fill such an error
- See if there are other places where adding an error would be useful for debugging
